- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 2 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 2 tablespoons milk
- dash of salt
- 1/3 cup pecans (optional)
Method
- Preheat oven to 250 degrees F. Pop the popcorn in the microwave and place in a large bowl.
- Chop the pecans into small pieces
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Stir in both sugars, and salt. (a little goes a long way!) Bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Boil without stirring for 4 minutes. Remove from heat and quickly stir in milk. Pour the caramel onto the popcorn, and stir to coat.
- Place onto a baking sheet lined with a silicone mat or parchment paper and bake in preheated oven, stirring every 15 minutes, for half a hour. Remove from oven and let cool completely before breaking into pieces. :D
